It’s karmic that Salvatore Minardi is the first to integrate the true “salon” experience with customized service. An innovative artist, accomplished classical guitarist and successful salon owner who comes from a European-trained hairdressing family, Salvatore blends the knowledge and gentility of cultures past with today’s most cutting-edge techniques.

A Founding Beauty Council Member and Ambassador for the Paris-based Rene Furterer company, he has traveled throughout America and Europe, as a platform artist and a color-and-design educator. He has also worked with the Clairol and Redken companies, and was a guest to foreign-based pharmaceutical hair care companies. The resulting exchange of ideas has kept him on the leading edge of fashion, trends and technology.

A sought-after styling talent, he has worked behind the scenes at the Tony Awards, MTV’s VMAs (held at Radio City Music Hall), VH1 Fashion Rocks, Fox Production's New Year's Eve at Times Square, American Express’ branding shows and Calvin Klein’s runway show at the 2007 Fashion on Seventh in Bryant Park. Celebrities who have relied on him to create a personalized look include Cynthia Nixon, Queen Latifah, Kate Spade, Mark McGrath, The Rock, Panic at the Disco band members, Mark McGrath, Toni Braxton, Bobbie Brown and Kate Spade, as well as dancers for Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé.

Fluent in Italian and an accomplished classical guitarist, he continues to study language and design in France and Italy, and classical guitar with some of the world’s most luminary musicians. These educational experiences led him to understand the true meaning of the word “salon.”

SALON: A gathering of independent thinkers and one well-traveled leader for the sake of creative collaboration.

A true Renaissance man, Salvatore opened SALVATORE MINARDI SALON in 2001 with the idea of creating a warm, friendly space that allowed creative collaboration and the exchange of ideas between artists and individual guests. Most recently, Salvatore Minardi Salon was recognized by Elle magazine as the Best Salon in New Jersey.
