About Salvatore Minardi

An innovative artist, successful salon owner and accomplished classical guitarist who comes from a European-trained hairdressing family, Salvatore blends the knowledge and gentility of cultures past with today’s most cutting-edge techniques.

Salvatore stays on the leading edge of beauty through travel and education. A Founding Beauty Council Member and Ambassador for the Paris-based Rene Furterer brand, Salvatore has traveled throughout America and Europe, as a platform artist and a color and hair design consultant. He has worked with the Clairol and Redken companies on research and development of new styling and haircolor products. Salvatore is proud of his 25 year membership with Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA). He is currently a Board of Director for ICA, serving on both the Haircolor Council and New Membership Committee. He credits these professional collaborations for enabling him to remain on the forefront of fashion, trends and technologies.

A sought-after styling talent, Salvatore worked behind the scenes at NYC Fashion week September 2015. Previous engagements include the Tony Awards, MTV, VMAs (held at Radio City Music Hall), VH1 Fashion Rocks, Fox Production’s New Year’s Eve at Times Square, American Express’s branding shows and Calvin Klein’s runway show at the 2007 Fashion on Seventh in Bryant Park. Prior to performances, Salvatore has styled notables Cynthia Nixon, Queen Latifah, The Rock, Audra McDonald, Mark McGrath, Toni Braxton, Bobbie Brown and Kate Spade, as well as dancers for Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé.

“I take great joy in what I do for my clients,” says Salvatore.  “Creating personalized cuts and color is my form of painting and sculpting.  Creating beauty is what my life is all about.”
